Top Trend in 2010

Yee-haaaaw... Like I said before, 2010 is the year of the Entrepreneur... thank you "Great Recession" for creating the space necessary - via layoffs, hiring freezes and the like- for us to make the big jump and build our dream businesses!

As seen in Entrepreneur Magazine:

Economic Turmoil:

It's not the $700 billion bank bailout. And no, it's not the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The real economic stimulus is ... wait for it ... the recession. That's right, the Great Recession. This upside-down economy is creating entrepreneurial opportunities aplenty, so long as you can deal with a situation about as stable as a lava flow.

Results from Challenger, Gray & Christmas' job market index revealed that 8.7 percent of job seekers gained employment by starting their own businesses in second quarter 2009--way, way up from the record low of 2.7 percent during the last quarter of 2008.

Even in finance, confidence and risk tolerance are on the rise. IbisWorld, an industry market research firm, expects that after a great purge, loan brokerage services will see 40 percent growth in 2010.

Sunwest Bank, a community bank that caters to entrepreneurs, upped its total assets by more than $150 million during the worst of the financial crisis--and that was before acquiring two failing banks in July and September. "We were picking up good clients left and right," says CEO Glenn Gray. "Business owners are still seeing opportunity."

Delve further into the numbers. It appears startup rates remain steady through recessions. "Ten, 15 years from now, there will be a slew of companies that we'll point to and say they started in the recession," Kauffman Foundation senior analyst Dane Stangler says. "You don't see them yet, but you can be sure they're out there." In fact, more than half of today's Fortune 500 companies were founded during a recession or bear market.

Austrian economist Joseph Schumpeter once described entrepreneurial innovation as a "perennial gale of creative destruction," forcing existing companies to adapt or fail. "Economic progress in capitalist society," he declared, "means turmoil."

Well then, we must be on the right track. --Jennifer Wang

Unwritten. By: Osmara Vindel

I remember first listening to Nastasha Bedingfield's song "Unwritten" right as I moved to London UK, back in 2005. Freshly graduated from college, I was naive, eager, and a true dreamer. My biggest dream then? Get into the advertising world. More specifically the account management side of it. I was consumed with studying the biggest advertising firms in town, learning as much as I could about their structure, their clients, their work, the job description, you name it.

And as I would take
the "Tube" or underground metro system to each interview, I'd plug in my ipod, and drift away... "Unwritten" was my dream song. After so much effort, I was offered two great advertising jobs simultaneously, only to be turned down later because of my "Non-European" citizenship. I was told it was too lengthy of a process to issue a work permit - it would take a lot of money and a few months to get things squared away; naturally - it was not in the company's best interest to go down this route. I was crushed. I saw my dream fade from my sight... not knowing what I now know, I simply gave up and made up a victim-mentality story about how "hard" it was to find my dream job in London.

This song always pulled me through... and I had not heard it in quite a while until today. Today, it took on a new meaning. I now have a completely different career - and all I can say is - thank you Universe for closing that door for me!!!

I
LOVE what I do, and feel like I've truly found my passion and my life purpose.

So here are the lyrics to the song - let them soak in - and see what meaning they hold for you:

I am unwritten. Can’t read my mind. I’m undefined. I’m just beginning the plans in my head ending unplanned. Staring at the blank page before you, looking out the dirty window, let the sun illuminate the words that you cannot find, reaching for something in the distance so close you can almost taste it – release your inhibitions, feel the rain on your skin… no one else can feel it for you, only you can let it in, no one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips… drench yourself in words unspoken, live your life with arms with open, TODAY is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten… I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines…We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way…

We are the originators of our experience. Period. It's not our partners, family, boss, or anything else outside of us. The canvas is blank - and we fill it in with color. If we firmly believe that the Universe/God/Christ/Buddha/Source/ ______ (fill in the blank with whatever you are comfortable with) is working with us to create what we want, and if we believe that this Universe is 100% abundant - the canvas changes, as does the lens through which we view it.

I know this is hard to believe and feel when we're focused on the "OUT THERE": the tangible world where we see lack, limitation, sadness, competition, and self loathing. But this miopic view of our reality is really just a thin veil - that when pierced changes everything... Believe you me, I've been there more times than I'd like to count!

What would it be like to view your life through different eyes? Where has your focus been? "I don't have enough money", "I'm so broke", "I hate my fat, ugly body", "My partner never appreciates me", "I'm such a ditz", "I hate my job", "Growing my business is tough in this economy", "Finding paying clients is so hard","Things will never change"...

Well, hate to break it to you but - you're right.

"WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN OR YOU CAN'T - EITHER WAY YOU ARE RIGHT"

How can you start to tell a different story? I mean, you're stuck in this life and in your body for now, might as well tell a story worth telling right? Just remember your life is what you make of it.... nothing, NOOOOOTHIIIIIING is inherently good or bad - it's your perception that labels it so.

The point is this: Go for it. Try. Fail. Mess up. Learn. Try again... Think outside of the box... be willing to be daring. Move opposite of the herd.

Whatever your deep desire is, whatever your life and business visions are - NO ONE IS GOING TO MAKE THEM HAPPEN FOR YOU. You, and you alone are the captain of your vessel. So what are you waiting for?

If you want this new year to be any different/better than this present one - you've got to change the way you think/act/feel... Remember, you cannot solve a problem with the same level of thinking that created it. Those are not my words - they're Einstein's words... he's got some pretty big clout if you ask me.

Change is the operative word for 2010... live by it... hug it. Change is your ally, and remember - a goal that stretches you, make your fears surface, and shakes you up is a WORTHY goal indeed!

DARE TO BE STRETCHED IN 2010!

If you're serious about shifting your life and/or business, and want a personal coach by your side to aid you in that shift, then email me at: osmara@padmacoaching.com or call me at: 786.291.2945 and I'll be your biggest ally.

ARE YOU TIRED OF BEING IN THE SAME SITUATION, YEAR AFTER YEAR, DAY AFTER DAY?

Well then, this article will slap you back to reality! I know it definitely did for me. As a business owner, I am always looking to expand my business - I have huge goals... call me overzealous, ambitious or a deliberate creator...

This article is for all entrepreneurs and business owners who have been circling the comfy known territory far too long... You can spin and spin on that hamster wheel, but at the end of the day - you've GOT to take INSPIRED action, trust in your gut, and treat your business vision as if your very breathing depended on it...

A special thank you to Fabienne Frederickson, for I have been stuck in my own rut for far too long... and now, as 2010 nears, I am determined to overcome my own limiting inner dialogue, along with any self-imposed hurdles, and MAKE IT HAPPEN for my business... I do hope you will follow suit with yours!

The ONE Self Sabotaging Thing You Do Every Day That Keeps You From Making 7-Figures In Your Business:

QUOTE: “Most people confuse wishing and wanting with pursuing. You must place your trust in ACTION.” – Price Pritchett

I’ve been hearing this one question a lot recently: “Fabienne, what did you actually DO to multiply your 1ncome so quickly? How did you get to a million and can I do it too?” Well, the answer is “Yes, you can do it too” and it’s important to realize that it comes down to several different things: Authentic and compelling marketing, systems for everything, a team, different sources of 1ncome, leverage, etc.

But, believe it or not, those are actually the easy part, because you can be shown exactly how to do this (I show you how in my Workshop-in-a-box). The difficult part is actually a two step process, two steps that seem very simple on the outside, but that few people actually DO anything about. In fact, this process is so deceptively simple that most people ignore its importance and look for something way more complex. But it comes down to:

  1. Make a decision
  2. Do what it takes

I know, it might seem like child’s play, but most people never actually get clear about WHAT they want in the first place, and then they don’t make a commitment to getting it. So the first thing to do is to decide that you are going to reach a big goal. Then, you must be OK with doing whatever it takes to get it, as if your life depended on it.

Believe it or not, that’s where most people fail in this process. They throw out a lofty goal, but when it comes to actually DOING what it takes, they let their mindset and their fears get in the way. The ideas and opportunities to reach that big goal are right there, smack in front of them, but they don’t take action on them. I saw this happen recently with a client. She asked me, “Fabienne, I set this huge goal for myself, and the year’s almost over, but I’m not even halfway to reaching it. What happened? What am I doing wrong?”

The answer I gave her was that, despite the lofty goal, her BEHAVIOR hadn’t changed very much. Despite progress in other areas, she kept stopping herself, and kept doing the same things, worrying about the same things (”not knowing how”, “not enough mo-ney”, “not enough time”, you know the drill…)

We’d given her all the different ways to make her goal happen quickly and two-fold, but she never implemented the ideas. The HOW was right in front of her, but she got in her own way, and essentially sabotaged her potential 1ncome by not taking action on the idea. And that’s one thing that I’ve gotten really clear about recently. The “how” is always right there, right under your nose, ready for the picking.

In fact, there was a time in my own business, not too long ago, where I could never have imagined making this much in one year. But the opportunities to do so were already there. In fact, one idea that I implemented last year was an idea that I’d had 4 years prior. 4 years!!! And that idea was one that would have brought in a ton of mo-ney back then. Sure, I researched it, did a little bit of due diligence, even asked my ezine subscribers if they had resources and got tons of them. I went as far as investing in the resources I needed to take advantage of that opportunity.

Then, guess what happened?

Nothing, nada, zip. I never did ANYTHING about it. I let the opportunity get stale and covered with dust, and it’s because of several different obstacles:

  1. My excuse of “not having enough time” to implement it
  2. My fear of failure
  3. Essentially, my belief that I wasn’t “good enough” to succeed with it

And so, I never achieved the 1ncome potential that this opportunity had in store for me. I’m kicking myself now, but at least, I took action 4 years later.

Here’s the thing: you must realize that the ideas that are given to you are not just silly ideas. They are divinely brought to you. My mentor always says, “If you are given an idea, then too you are given the way to achieve it. You wouldn’t be able to have the idea without also receiving the ‘way’ to accomplish it too. It’s universal law.” And that’s really important for you to remember.

Until you are ready to see what’s already right under your nose, without discounting it as “not feasible”, you aren’t going to grow. Remember that the idea you got in the shower, or the idea your mastermind members brainstormed with you didn’t actually come from them or you. It was divinely given THROUGH them.

And you are given ideas like these ALL THE TIME! It is the Universe’s way of guiding you on a daily basis, literally pulling you by the hand and pointing you in the direction that will help you accomplish your dreams, but the question is… are you listening? Are you going to do something about it?

If you’re not where you want to be financially in your business, one of the major reasons is your non-action. If you’re still at the same place you were before, it’s because you’re unwilling to take advantage of the opportunity that is right in front of you, and has been for a long time.

And I know you’re probably tired of hearing, “To get different results, you need to do things differently”, but in my experience (especially last year) it is absolutely true. To get a quantum leap in your business, you must be willing to DO what you haven’t done before, to be courageous, to walk into the opportunity and even to walk into the fear you have associated with it.

And please don’t let the simplicity of what I’m telling you undermine the importance of the message. This ‘arrogance’ of thinking, “Oh, I already know that!” is another form of self-sabotage and it’s keeping you from making a whole lot more in your business. Here’s an example: Someone told me last year that some of this is “basic” stuff. That they’d already knew this.

Frankly, I felt bad for this person. I almost wanted to say, “OK then, if you already “know” this, what’s YOUR 1ncome this year?” You see, your 1ncome will be your gauge to see how much you “know” this stuff. If it’s not where you want it to be, then you don’t “know” it yet, you’ve just “heard” of it. In fact, you don’t “know” anything until you live it, breathe it and take action on it day in and day out. Makes sense?

Your Client Attraction Assignment:

Get clear on the opportunities that are right under your nose. Take a sheet of paper and at the top, write down your big goal. Don’t be shy, no one’s watching. In big, bold letters, write what you want in your business. Then, either knowing (or pretending) that you could not fail, list all the opportunities that you already have right in front of you to make those happen. I know they’re there. I can always spot them for people and that’s the power of a mastermind. Having people see the opportunities that are right in front of you. But list them all. And then begin to take action on each and every one of them with courage and fearlessness. Your 1ncome will never be the same.

All that said, I urge you NOT to forget the authentic and compelling marketing, systems for everything, a team, different sources of income, leverage, etc. When you market authentically and consistently, using ONLY what works, your goals become big-time easy. When you set up systems for everything in your business and a team to support you, you have more time to devote to implementing the big opportunities. When you set up additional sources of 1ncome, both passive and leveraged, you make a whole lot more, working half the time.

Not sure where to start with all of this? The solution is The Client Attraction Workshop-in-a-Box. It avoids all the extraneous stuff that could distract your growth and instead gives you the most important things to do to make twice as much, working half the time. It’s my own process, the one I’ve shared with my top-level clients and you’ll be blown away by how precise and generous I am with the “how”. Every resource is laid out. The closing-the-sale script, the way to make passive 1ncome easily, everything. It’s all step-by-step, not a big mishmash of things. So, you do step one, and when you’re done with that, you move on to step two, and so on. All the tools are handed to you on a silver platter. Don't stop believing...

"Don't stop believing" by Journey is one of my all time favorite songs... and I've heard it multiple times this week, which got me thinking about the chorus line:

Don't stop believing

Hold on to the feeling

And it hit me - those two little verses hold the key to manifesting our goals! I've been manifesting many amazing things lately, from clients on the other side of the globe, to great new friendships, and even unexpected money! And as I pondered about what was the catalyst to this increased abundance in my reality, I realized it all boiled down to BELIEF.

Belief is the catalyst and the missing piece of the puzzle! Since it's all about vibration, when we feel positive expectation about the things we want, we become more magnetic to those things. But you can't feel positive expectation without experiencing BELIEF.

To believe is to trust - to know that it's possible to have what you want... belief is what connects us with our own energy and aligns us with our desires. Without belief we're just pushing what we want further away from us.

How do you increase your belief?

What's worked wonders for me has been to first meditate and visualize on what I want... to find the feeling place of having it in my reality... that really gets my energy going! We've talked about the powers of visualization before, but I cannot stress it enough!!! Our brains are so incredibly powerful, but we rarely harness that power in our lives. When we're wrapped up in our own heads and stories we are actually using our brain against us.

Our thoughts and emotions ARE vibration... imagine all the neuron synapses firing, wiring and rewiring in our brains every second. Our hypothalamus (in our brains) secretes chemicals that correspond to different emotions... and it all fits together... we're amazing beings. (For more information on this, watch the DVD: "What the Bleep Do We Know?!" and/or read "Molecules of Emotion" by Candace Pert, Ph.D.)

So to increase our belief in our dreams we start by putting our FOCUS on that picture... push aside all other pictures - the pictures of your doubts, fears, and worries... the more you focus on your vision, the more ingrained it will be in your consciousness, and the more attractive you will become to people, ideas, resources, opportunities, and other thoughts and emotions that will move you towards your goal little step by little step... once you're on that journey it's almost as if a veil has been lifted from you eyes!

So start today by asking yourself, what is one thing you so desire, but don't fully believe can be yours? How can you "hold on to that feeling" of it being the way you want? How good do you want it to be?

If you'd like more help with increasing your belief, and letting go of the limiting thoughts to gain courage to take action and change the direction you're headed in, contact me to discuss how my coaching can help you, I work with people from all over the world!

Making peace with NOW.

Do you ever just wish you could hit the Fast Foreward button in your life? Are your thoughts leaning toward what's not currently working, what's missing or how much better things would be if this and that changed? It's normal to feel this way, although that mindset does rob us of many things - one of them being our energy. When we're focused on what's wrong or missing we expend a lot of our inner energy that could otherwise be used much more productively.

We are where we are and that's OKAY. Our present situation is a direct result of our PAST thoughts, feelings, and choices. In order to create something different we need to change our point of focus NOW. Here are some steps I've used in my own life and with my clients to start shifting that point of attraction to create different results:

1. Make peace with your NOW: How do you do that when your credit card debt is sucking you dry, when there's too much month at the end of the money, or when you're going through a rough patch? It starts by going within, and really scanning what you're grateful for. I suggest my clients focus on 3-5 things they're grateful for EACH morning - and really harness the powerful emotion of gratitude. Starting out each day with this small practice can change the course of your day, week, month - life! So, right NOW, name three things you're grateful for in your life... ready, set, go!

2. Crystallize that Clarity! Once you've changed your vibration, the next step is to get CLEAR about what you want to create... by knowing what we DON'T want, we get clear about what we DO want - so start putting your powerful intention to use! This is where working with a coach, whether it's me or another life coach, will come in handy. A coach will help you get the picture of your life desires clear and strong. Most people find this step difficult because their egoic mind starts chatting at this point: "What are you thinking?" "You can't do that!", "You're shooting too high, there's no way that can ever happen", "I'm not smart enough", "I don't have what it takes" - the bla-bla-bla's go on forever... but how are you ever going to move forward if you give in to this negative inner chatter? You've got to question those thoughts - put them to the test! This is also an area where a coach would be extremely useful - we all live inside our heads most of the time, and we need a powerful outer voice to help us see the total vision of our reality. So, get clear about what you want.

Here's one thing I have my clients do: Write a letter to yourself, dating it one year from now. In this letter, let your intuition and imagination flow - describe EVERY AREA of your life as you would want it - have fun with this! There's no doing it wrong :)

3. Excitement for whats coming: You are the creator of your reality! Whether you like it or not, whether you act as if you're not - there's no escaping it - outside circumstances and people do not create it for you. As a deliberate creator, your power lies in your positive expectation and excitement for what you want to achieve. It's like the rocket fuel that propels you to the top. Sit for a few minutes, close your eyes, breathe in deeeeply, and start to visualize your successes as if they're already here. Studies conducted on Olympic athletes show that our brains do not know how to distinguish between what's actually happening and what we visualize. Meaning - our visualizations have power to get our brains to help us achieve our goals! Did you know that? I could tell you lots more on the subject, but we'll save that for another blog post or coaching workshop.

Harness this power with your own mind - do this consistently, each day and the proof will be in the pudding! It's all about excitement - for this is one of the highest emotions vibrationally speaking :)

The Shadow Effect

This past weekend I attended a screening for Debbie Ford's new docudrama film - The Shadow Effect. Debbie Ford is a world renowned New York Times Best Selling Author, workshop leader and the founder of the Ford Institute for Integrative Coaching. Her ability to tap into our nature as the complicated beings that we are is impressive to say the least. Here's a picture of my friend Joyce and I with Debbie:

The film is about embracing our dark shadows - we all have them... Every time we judge someone or something. Feelings of envy or jealousy. Every time we beat ourselves up for what we did, what we didn't do, what we haven't become, what we should have done... The shadow is our dark side - the side we try so hard to cover up with smiles and accomplishments. It's the side we expend soooo much of our energy on trying to hide it from the world and from ourselves.
I loved this film - it really hit home for me and created a shift that's helping me reach the next level in my personal and professional growth.

One of the most impacting points made was the fact that everything we hate and judge in others is a projection of ourselves... connected to a part of ourselves. We are all connected. We live in a dualistic universe... full of polarities... Ford prompts us to embrace that part of ourselves - because "what you resist - persists". For every negative quality we possess there's also the flip side, and we have access to both at all times. For every fear there is hope. Love/hate, patience/impatience...

http://www.theshadoweffect.com

Being aware of what triggers my own shadow has helped me turn those negative moments around before they snow ball effect and I lose my North. I'm learning to be kinder with myself - and love all parts of me. It's much easier said than done. For every four steps forward we take one or two back... and that's okay... the most important thing is to always keep growing, moving forward, improving ourselves. When we settle for less, when we get comfortable, when we allow ourselves to become paralyzed by fear a part of us is dying little by little. Make it a point today to be loving to yourself. Embrace the not so perfect qualities and think about ways in which they can serve you. What can they teach you? Could they help you grow?

Watch your thoughts - they become your words, watch your words for they become your actions - watch your actions for they become your destiny.

"If you're not growing - you're dying" - James Arthur Ray

When failure opens way for success:

"There are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened? You can decide which type of person you want to be."

- Mary Kay Ash

We are in this time/space reality to grow and expand; to be the BEST version of ourselves we can be. The most important competition we face is with ourselves. This Universe is abundant - there is more than enough to go around. WHAT DO YOU DAYDREAM ABOUT? WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITIONS? WHO DO YOU WANT TO BECOME? This video will remind you that you CAN. Do not let fear stop you - break through those cardboard barriers. With every fall, with every "failure" we grow, we learn, we get better.

Pinky Revolution - Embracing ourselves... really!

I just HAD to share this with all the ladies - I came across this site and blog through a wonderful fellow coach, Phillis.

Pinky is all about accepting our bodies - looooving our bodies... loving who we are NOW. Not when we drop the 5, 10 or 20 lbs, or start going to the gym... but NOW. One thing that's for sure: this is one of the hardest things for us gals to do! We are our worst critics and not just regarding our bodies and physical appearance but that
little voice permeates into the deepest crevices of our lives and our souls... spilling over to other life pillars.

Are you ready to fall in love with yourself NOW? Then I urge you to check out this site:

Oh, rabbit holes!

The hit film What the Bleep Do We Know?! has been around for a few years now... and it has broken down many old paradigms in our society - leading us to expand our minds and accept other beliefs. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend this movie - it challenges what you hold to be "true" and shifts you to view reality differently, and once that happens - well, life changes... Enjoy!

Every thought that you think is vibrating at a very personal frequency . . . and by the powerful Law of Attraction (the essence of that which is like unto itself, is drawn), that thought is now attracting another thought that is its Vibrational Match. And now, those combined thoughts are vibrating at a frequency that is higher than the thought that came before; and they will now, by the Law of Attraction, attract another and another and another, until eventually the thoughts will be powerful enough to attract a "real life" situation or manifestation.

Inner inventory time. By: Osmara Vindel

I once heard someone say, "we are spiritual creatures having a physical experience", and this time/space reality is quite a journey... yet, the truth is there is so so so much more "out there" than we perceive with our physical senses.

Studies have shown that our conscious brain accounts for 3-4 % of our habitual thoughts, feelings, actions, and patterns. Our non-conscious brain control 96-97% of our habitual thoughts, feelings, actions and patterns. No wonder diets don't work, and we keep doing the same things over and over again and keep attracting the same scenarios into our reality! In order to make REAL change, we need to work with our non-conscious mind and become aligned with it. How you ask? We need to observe our outer reality to see the evidence of what's been going on within us. Take inventory of the different aspects of your life:
  • How's your body? What is it telling you? Is it the reflection of the You you wish to see?
  • How are your relationships? Are they strong and loving and supporting? Or are they tinted with tension, animosity, or assumptions?
  • How is your financial situation? If it's any less than you desire, what beliefs have you adopted that created your current situation? Where is your financial focus? Have you adopted habits that have gotten you here today? Are they habits that serve you or disempower you?
  • How connected are you with your Higher Self and Source? How do you personally gauge this connection? What does it mean to YOU to be connected with your inner being and source of all that is?
  • What's your career looking like these days? Are you happy with the way you spend your days? Are you satisfied with the route your life is taking?

It's very important to take the time to revise our inner inventory. By taking a snapshot of where we are, we can then decide where we want to be, and what steps we must take to get there.

Remember this: Your current reality is the result of your past thoughts, feelings, and actions. Period. In order to create change, we must tweak our thoughts, feelings, and actions to align with what we want to create. Change happens from within and permeates every angle of our outer lives. The proof is in the pudding.

So today, set aside a few minutes and take inventory. Grab a piece of paper and a pen and go over the points listed above. Be completely honest with yourself and allow yourself to accept your current life without judgement. We created it! We created the good, the bad, the ugly, the nice, and the painful... buuuuuuut, that means we can also create something different! After you've taken inventory - go over each life aspect and think about what you want. What do you want your future to look like? What do you want to accomplish? Who do you want to become? Fully allow yourself to dream, and desire, and get in the feeling place of what that picture looks like.

You egoic mind will come up with 101 reasons why you can't achieve this, why you can't do that, why you shouldn't attempt this... our egos (and we aaaaaall have them!) want to keep us riiiiiiight where we are - away from change and therefore away from growth. That's why it's important to connect with your Higher Self - with your subconscious mind to be grounded when that non serving self talk starts rearing it's sneaky little head. Go ahead! Do it! What have you got to lose?

A wise man, Napoleon Hill, once said "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve"

I believe this 100%... He did not say it was easy or a walk in the park - it requires action, courage, and effort... So, look around. Decide. Believe. Envision. Act.

We are all powerful beyond belief... every single one of us.

Utilizing the Law of Attraction - by: Jack Canfield

Jack Canfield is one of my favorite author/speakers and I have learned a lot from his teachings... I signed up for his Success Principals E-Newsletter, and found this article to be really concise, to the point, and useful! We all need a little reminder or nudge when we're trying to accomplish big goals, and I found this article was just what I needed to hear again... enjoy!

Utilizing The Law of Attraction
by Jack Canfield

The law of attraction states that you will attract into your life--whether wanted or unwanted--whatever you give your energy, focus, and attention to.

You are constantly giving off vibrations of energy when you think and feel. These vibrations can be picked up and received by other people. That's why people say, "he has good vibes," or "he gives off bad vibes." You are constantly giving off vibrations -- literally!

If you're feeling excited, enthusiastic, passionate, happy, joyful, loving, appreciative, abundant, prosperous, relaxed and peaceful, you are giving off positive vibrations.

On the other hand, if you're feeling bored, anxious, worried, confused, sad, lonely, hurt, angry, resentful, guilty, disappointed, frustrated, overwhelmed, stressed out, or depressed, then you are giving off negative vibrations.

The law of attraction states that the universe responds to whatever you are offering -- by giving you more of whatever you are vibrating. It doesn't care whether it is good for you or not; it simply responds to your vibration.

If you saw the film The Secret, you saw this explained in great detail.

The problem is that most of the time, you are not aware of what vibration you are offering. You are simply responding to things outside of you--current events, the news, how people treat you, the stock market, how much money you are making, how your children are doing in school, whether or not your favorite sports team wins--and then having a feeling that is either positive or negative.

When you are simply responding unconsciously to what happens around you, you tend to stay "stuck" in your current condition. This is why most people's lives never seem to change very much. They get stuck in a repeating cycle of recreating the same reality over and over by the vibration they are sending out.

It works like this... First you observe what you currently have and are currently receiving in your life. You call this your "reality." You respond to what you observe with a feeling, positive or negative, which then gives off that vibration to the universe. The law of attraction then responds to this vibration and brings you more of what you were vibrating. This keeps the cycle going over and over, until you choose to change it through the exertion of your will. You are a victim of your lack of awareness of the law of attraction.

The Process of Intentional Creation

It is possible to get out of this vicious cycle and create what you want instead of continually recreating what you already have. It is a simple, three-step process that you can begin immediately.

If you've been implementing the action steps I coach you through in The KEY to Living the Law of Attraction, you have already begun this process.

Step 1: Identify what you truly desire & eliminate the negative

It is important to focus on what you want rather than what you don't want. You must state it in the positive and filter out the words don't, not and no. Remember, your mind works in pictures and if you say I don't want to be mad, you are creating the picture and thus the vibration of being mad. You must create the opposite of what you don't want.

Step 2: Raise your vibration level

Your job in stage two is to create a vibrational match for that which you say you want to have. How would you be feeling if you already had those things--the perfect job, the perfect relationship, the amount of money that you want to have?

Your job is to identify what makes you feel good and do more of it, then learn not to tolerate your negative feelings.

Affirmations are an important component in raising your vibrational level to what it is you want. Remember, the law of attraction does not respond to the words you use or the thoughts you think. It simply responds to how you feel about what you say and how you feel about what you think.

For information on how to create even more effective affirmations, review chapter 10 in The Key to Living the Law of Attraction, where you'll find my guidelines for creating effective visualizations.

Step 3. Release it and allow it.

In this third step, you simply release your affirmation, your vibration, and your feelings to the universe to take care of your "request" or "order" as I call it. But you have to abstain from any doubts. If you doubt you can have it in any way, then you are not allowing it. You are pushing it away and you end up with contradictory messages to the universe.

It is only when the contradictory thoughts, talk, and images are removed that your desired results will manifest. The faster you remove your resistance, the faster your dreams can be realized.

Ascending our downward spiral... By: Osmara Vindel

Some time ago, I had been feeling very out of sorts - but could not pin point what was causing this mix of uneasiness and resistance within me. I just felt off. My upper back and neck muscles were tense and tight. My breath was shallow and short. My overall vibration was at a low frequency.

Isn't it f
unny how our emotions can overpower us right before our eyes? So much is going on within us, our minds tend to just run off with us and it's only until we're overflowing with uneasiness that we stop and wonder what's going on. I don't know about you, but this happens to me from time to time... I used to get sucked into a downward spiral before I knew it - I was frustrated with myself for letting things get to a certain point, and it then became ever HARDER for me to move my way up the vibrational scale. (Aaah, the importance of our self talk... but I'll leave that topic for another day.)

Our bodies, our emotions, and our outer reality are all indicators of our inner frequency - our vibrations. At our most basic essence - that's what we are - pure energy and vibration.

Nevermind the flesh and bone and tangible ex
perience around us - go within your surroundings and within your own body... We were all taught in school that everything is comprised of atoms. Everthing. Well, what are atoms made of? If you dive deeper and deeper within the subatomic world you find two things:

1. As the material world scale gets smaller - the energy gets more intense.

2. The lines between the physical plane and the metaphysical plane get blurry - ourworld is made of tiny packets of vibrating energy! Think about that for a moment - reeeeally ponder it. That also means that our thoughts and emotions are energy.

Don't knock yourself for experiencing these negative, low level emotions... they are a gift! Thanks to them, you can track when you're veering from your desired present and future paths so you can stop, observe, regroup, and go on... so embrace it! I've made it a habit to be more conscious of my vibration throughout my days. It took some time and practice, and by no means do I have it down 100%, but it has gotten easier. By checking in with my emotions and how I am feeling in the moment, I know whether I am on or off track with how I want my day to go or what I want to bring in.

If you find yourself in a funk, frustrated, stressed, worried, doubtful, anxious, or any other similar emotion and state of being follow these steps to bring you right back up that emotional scale:

1. STOP! Breathe... no, I don't mean your usual short breaths... I mean breeeeeeathe in the purifying oxygen and slowly release all the toxins from your system. Try this: breathe IN for 7 counts, hold for 7 counts, and breathe out for 11 counts... this is what Yvonne Oswald calls "Seven, Seven, Eleven".

2. Take a moment to notice the feeling/emotion... don't judge it, just observe it.

3. Ask yourself these 3 POWERFUL yet seemingly simple questions regarding the feeling or situation at hand:

" What do I want?"

" Why do I want it?"

" How do I want to feel?"

Love, Abundance & Glow to you!

Time of our lives...

Do you feel that you are living in a time of rapid change and that the old systems and paradigms no longer serve you? Do you look around and see that it’s everywhere: the economy, businesses, communities and institutions…?

It seems that everywhere we look we can sense evidence of this shift... With increased uncertainty, stress, and fear in the collective atmosphere, we are forced to adopt new ways of coping with the ever changing times. But, in fact, you can come out on top of this “time of trouble”… Why merely cope through these times when you can thrive and grow more than ever before? One of the ways to achieve this is through coaching. A coach acts as a guide and holds your vision through the rough patches. A coach provides tools and techniques to empower you to live the life you envision. Through coaching you can bring unconscious limiting beliefs and fears to light and change them into strengths.

But you cannot embark on the journey without having a crystal clear picture of where you are going and what you want. So take a few minutes of silent inner digging, and ask yourself: “What does my future look like?”

"Take the first step in faith; you don't have to see the whole staircase, but take the first step"

- Martin Luther King, Jr.
